About

Steve

Steve Grzyb spent his childhood in West Virginia, where he roamed the hills, valleys, forests, and farms of the Appalachian Mountains, developing a deep appreciation for their natural beauty. The vibrant fall colors and smoky air still remind him of home, no matter where life takes him
During his time pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at Marshall University, Steve gained hands-on experience at a local TV station, where he designed sets, directed commercials, and produced the top rated NBC Affiliate Newscast in the nation.
Steve’s academic journey and professional ambitions were temporarily paused when he was drafted into the Vietnam War. Serving as an illustrator at the US Army Signal School, he received the Army’s Commendation Medal for his contributions.
Over the years, Steve established himself as a distinguished creative marketing professional. His work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the International TV & Film Festival of New York Award, the National Broadcast Promotion/Marketing Executives Gold Medallion Award, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Award, and several national Telly awards. Today, he leads SG Media Marketing, offering creative marketing consulting services to TV stations.
Steve’s creative journey encompasses over fifty years, during which he has produced an extensive portfolio of artwork in multiple mediums. He spent five years running his own art gallery in Eureka, Missouri. Steve remains deeply involved in the local art community as a juried member, board member, and both former and current president of The Greater St. Louis Artists.
Fun fact: Steve’s surname, pronounced “Grr-zib,” means “mushroom” in Polish. Perhaps that’s why he’s always such a fun-guy!
